About Us

Student-built financial education that meets young people where they already are.

Rise Financial Literacy is a student-led financial education organization founded by Max Rubenstein. Built by students, for students, Rise delivers engaging, peer-to-peer financial literacy programs that make money concepts feel accessible, practical, and empowering.

Our Mission

Close the gap left by schools that lack the time, resources, or funding for meaningful financial education.

At Rise Financial Literacy, our mission is to empower the next generation to become financially smart, confident, and capable. Many schools still do not have the time, resources, or funding to teach real-world money management in a meaningful way.

That gap disproportionately affects students without access to financial guidance at home. Rise exists to close it with accessible, high-quality financial education designed for students nationwide.

Our Curriculum

Built with academic guidance and delivered through lessons students can actually engage with.

Rise’s curriculum is entirely student-designed and developed with guidance from professors at Northwestern University and Stetson University, as well as a graduate student from the University of Pennsylvania. Through interactive lessons, guided notes, hands-on activities, and captivating presenters, we teach essential life skills such as budgeting, saving, and investing.
